Sophia Barba is a native of California who was born and raised in the Bay Area. After living in Portland for many years, she attended Tulane University Law School in New Orleans. Sophie is a co-editor of Immigration Courtside, a non-profit news blog dedicated to providing commentary and archival resources to immigration and human rights-related content. She is also a co-editor of Prayers Zine, a creative publication that seeks contributions from beloved underground artists and donates all proceeds to mutual aid organizations. She has recently passed the California State Bar Exam and intends to begin advocacy work in addition to producing more written work
